The Quick Response Code is defined by published international and national standards. Each is documented here in its own canonical reference.
The current normative reference for the Quick Response Code is ISO/IEC 18004:2015. The Japanese national reference is JIS X 0510. The industry-association reference, predating ISO publication, is AIM BC11. GS1 QR is the GS1 specification for the use of the symbology to carry GS1 identifiers.
