Verification

Verification is the verification function of the Quick Response Code ecosystem. It confirms record existence, current status, identity binding, certification, and compliance, returning a defined verification state.

States

  • Verified — record exists, status active, binding confirmed.
  • Unverified — record exists; one or more of binding, certification, or compliance unconfirmed.
  • Suspended — record exists; active status suspended pending action.
  • Revoked — record exists; previously active; now revoked.
  • Expired — record exists; validity window has elapsed.
  • Unknown — no record returned for the requested identifier.

Pathway

Verification consults QR Codex for the record, applies rules published by QR Protocol, and cross-checks against QR Identity bindings, QR Certifiedattestations, and QR Complianceevaluations as required by the requested verification scope.
