rMQR Code

rMQR Code is a rectangular variant of the Quick Response Code, defined for applications where the available print surface does not accommodate a square symbol.

Form factor

rMQR Code defines a family of rectangular symbol sizes with varying aspect ratios. The variant carries position-detection patterns adapted to the rectangular form and remains decodable by scanners that recognize the rMQR profile.

Application

rMQR is used in industrial labeling on long, narrow substrates — for example, on cable jackets, pharmaceutical blister packs, and elongated components — where a square symbol of equivalent payload would not physically fit. The variant is recognized in ISO/IEC 18004:2015.
