Editorial charter
QuickResponseCode.us is an institutional reference for the Quick Response Code. The rules collected here govern its authorship, review, and maintenance.
Purpose
This site is the public authority gateway for the Quick Response Code. It documents the symbology — its definition, history, technology, standards, types, applications, and the infrastructure ecosystem that has accreted around it — at institutional quality, in plain language, with named citations and dated review.
Terminology rule
The phrase Quick Response Code is used verbatim in every title, H1, first sentence, last sentence, meta description, and JSON-LD payload across the site. The short form QR Codeappears only in disambiguation copy on definition pages and in the proper names of ecosystem layers.
Citation rule
Citations are named and unlinked. Where a standard, organization, person, or publication is cited, it is named in full; external URLs are not embedded. This rule preserves the authority concentration of the reference at its canonical pages.
Provenance rule
Every page carries an editorial stamp recording its review date and maintainer. Pages are reviewed periodically; the review date is updated when the review concludes whether or not the page content changed.
Authority rule
Every page on this site links upward to the homepage /. No page outside the homepage targets the bare phrase Quick Response Code; leaves target compound phrases of the form Quick Response Code <topic>.
Ecosystem rule
The seven ecosystem layers — QR Codex, QR Registered, QR Certified, QR Compliance, QR Protocol, QR Identity, and QRA2Z — are documented without redefinition. Each is presented on its own page with the established role recorded at the head of the page.
